Atchison Hospital, Atchison Kansas February 18, 2009 In honor of Cardiac-Rehab week Atchison Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab Department celebrated their 13th annual dinner reception honoring past and present patients on February 14. At the dinner Cardiac-Rehab and Pulmonary-Rehab patients got a chance to socialize while enjoying a nice meal. Patients received a gift bag as a thank you for attending the dinner and being part of the Cardiac-Rehab program at Atchison Hospital. Atchison Hospital’s Dietary department provided meat, drinks and rolls and the patients brought in side dishes. Atchison Hospital’s Cardiac Rehab department works to strengthen the heart muscle while increasing stamina. They provide education about heart and lung disease and monitor patients using a cardiac monitor. Their goal is to provide the best care, right here for all cardiac and pulmonary patients. Cardiac Rehab week is a national holiday and has the goal of spreading awareness. |
